Explorer Soldiers, also known as imperial reconnaissance soldiers, were elite units devoted primarily to the exploration and reconnaissance of land and planets, their special training made it completely different from any other Imperial soldier: their training was not so military like the other soldiers, but rather of a technical and support nature. They appeared mostly in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi on Endor.
